In 2011 I began construction of our dream home on the cliffs of the Osage Gorge in Newton County Arkansas. I designed the house around the incredible site and spent 2 years building the place as my full time job. I now live here with my wife and 9 year old son. The Buffalo National River is only 3 miles away, and we enjoy all seasons, hiking, paddling, and swimming in this beautiful park. Follow along on all the cool adventures and fun.

Feels like Colorado
Wow, we got around 18" around our place, and it is awesome beautiful. Spent alot of time outside with Matt building a snowman, and a snow fort. Then me and Jazz and Cadron went for a hike down to the building site. It's a workout plowing through 18" of snow, and it was great being outside most of the day. The weather is turning, and the hope and plan is for the site to dry out. We need a period of warm weather to get the foundation in. After that it's off to the races. I am ready to stop talking about snow, and start talking about building.

Cabin Fever
Another round of snow last night and I drove home after the Super Bowl in a fresh 3" of powder. Kinda fun in a 2 wheel drive, not sure if your gonna make it. I will keep whining about the weather to a minimum, but it is now a waiting game for good enough days to get the footings poured. Then the blog will begin.
