The New Winter Arrives

Winter is officially here, color is gone, temps in the 20's last night, cliffs are reappearing from behind the foliage, and it's time to settle in for 4 months of winter's magic. It's funny how I mourn each passing of the seasons, but quickly come to love the change and the change of scenery. It's time for hiking! Winter is the best months to get out and explore the Buffalo River canyons, waterways, and waterfalls, and I have several already picked out that I have never been to. Amazing that after 30 plus years of exploring this area, there is still so much to see, hopefully there will be a Hailstone rafting trip or 2 or 3 or 4 to enjoy. There is always something to look forward to in our little slice of paradise, and I am going to enjoy as much of it as I can. We had friends and family over for dinner on saturday night, and we all  enjoyed hanging out at the outdoor fireplace after a wonderful meal. Guests were our good friends Dennis and Candy, returning to the mountain after their summer break, Dad, Dave and Tonia, and Scott with Cooper and Lucy. A great gathering of folks and thank you for attending. Well, I gotta get going, we have 80 flat screen T.V.s arriving at the store today, and I'm in charge of getting them on the floor. Love to all, the Hollohead
