In 2011 I began construction of our dream home on the cliffs of the Osage Gorge in Newton County Arkansas. I designed the house around the incredible site and spent 2 years building the place as my full time job. I now live here with my wife and 9 year old son. The Buffalo National River is only 3 miles away, and we enjoy all seasons, hiking, paddling, and swimming in this beautiful park. Follow along on all the cool adventures and fun.

Progress Report
Got a small amount of rain yesterday and my crew did'nt show, something about 35' in the air on a slippery slope. I do understand, but I would love to have a week of uninterupted work from everyone. I took the opportunity to call electricians and hvac guys to come out and give me a quote. I have found my electrician, and the last sub I need is the heat and air guy. We also have chosen our metal roof color and our 2 fireplaces. It is nice to have decisions behind us, as these things are always lively descusions. I'm really happy with the color blend of the roof-windows-siding, and I'm happier that Robyn is happy with them. Now if we can get some rock that goes well, we will be set on the outside. Today we start the deck, and hopefully get most of the roof decked and tar papered. I want this thing in the dry before vacation starts at the end of July. I have come up with some changes to dress up the front of the house that are really going to set it off and complete our look, so things are coming together. It's gonna be hot over the next week so it's work and swimming. Adios RJ
