In 2011 I began construction of our dream home on the cliffs of the Osage Gorge in Newton County Arkansas. I designed the house around the incredible site and spent 2 years building the place as my full time job. I now live here with my wife and 9 year old son. The Buffalo National River is only 3 miles away, and we enjoy all seasons, hiking, paddling, and swimming in this beautiful park. Follow along on all the cool adventures and fun.

Heat Wave Melting The Crew
Things were really getting done until this past week. I think my crew is burned out, literaly and figuretively. The sun is cooking our brains and our skin, any material left out is instantly cooked and warped. Productivity has dropped through the floor and I am glad we are going on vacation. I do not have the fire to push things right now and a break is needed to recharge the energy source.I am sending the skytrack and the crew home for good, and it is up to me to finish up. I really wish we had finished the deck, but the hard part is done and I can do the rest. Dave, Don, Scott, and his son Levon have all done a great job and I hate to think where we would be without their help. Now I can look for money to save in the budget so I can spend more on labor. But for now, I am on my own except for 2 weeks that Richard is working when I get back from vacation. I am a little behind on my schedule, but a little ahead of the banks schedule, so I wont sweat it. So now it's time to spend 10 days laying on the beach and trying out my new cordless blender, wont even have to go up to the room. We have a big crew from my family going, so this will be a blast. I am going to eat fresh seafood every night, and swim in the ocean every day. Adios
