In 2011 I began construction of our dream home on the cliffs of the Osage Gorge in Newton County Arkansas. I designed the house around the incredible site and spent 2 years building the place as my full time job. I now live here with my wife and 9 year old son. The Buffalo National River is only 3 miles away, and we enjoy all seasons, hiking, paddling, and swimming in this beautiful park. Follow along on all the cool adventures and fun.

Epic Flood
This is crazy, it has rained 7" over the past 3 days and the Osage is raging. But, right now it is raining harder than ever. I am going to see what the Osage looks like at super flood stage. Hopefully all the wood stays dry, theres not much I can do. I've gone out hiking a couple of times today, only to be driven back inside by the lightning. I still managed to get down to the creek and watch the flood. Theres supposed to be 2 more days of this before good weather, so my plan is to paddle when things go down to a saner level and then get to work
